US household debt surpassed $16 trillion for the first time ever during the second quarter, the New York Federal Reserve said Tuesday.
Even as borrowing costs surge, the NY Fed said credit card balances increased by $46 billion last quarter.Over the past year, credit card debt has jumped by $100 billion, or 13%, the biggest percentage increase in more than 20 years. Credit cards typically charge high interest rates when balances aren't fully paid off, making this an expensive form of debt.

Not only are credit card balances rising, but Americans opened 233 million new credit card accounts during the second quarter, the most since 2008, the NY Fed report found.
High inflation is also forcing consumers to dip into their savings. The personal savings rate fell in June to 5.1%, the lowest since August 2009, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said last week.

You claimed Trump was when he vacationed yet he was famous for not reading his daily briefings that they had to reduce to one page with bullet points. Isn't that what effective leaders do - hire experts people to run the everyday operations and be advised of important developments?


As for the virus - it's infected 35 people and has been traced to farmers with close contact with infected shrews out in fields etc.

Well. To be fair, you know anytime Biden opens his mouth, you know he is lying. First inflation was transitory. Then it peaked last year. Then it was Putin's fault. Now he has a bill that is basically a pared down version of another bill from last year that his own party rejected, but this time he renamed it the Inflation Reduction Act, when in reality, it will have minimal, if any, impact on inflation. Then yesterday, he actually said inflation was 0. Not a typo. Even though CPI for the year is 8.5%. Or in other words, Inflation this year is 8.5%. Trump got banned from Twitter for fake news. Why is Biden not banned.

He won't, because if he is as smart as he thinks he is, even he knows that Biden knows nothing about inflation, so wouldn't be able to recognize it and in fact he has proven he can not recognize it because he thinks it is zero. Once again, one needs to look at the employment participation percentage for an accurate picture. This was discussed in a previous post, and the facts are indisputable. “ record low unemployment rates” don’t take into consideration those that have dropped out of the search for a job.

Still, up is up. That can’t be disputed. All that can be done is an attempt to spin it.
