Registering with the US embassy when you live abroad is a voluntary process. Nor is it known of all the Americans there how many want to leave. Presumedly they would have made efforts by now? I mean they did know this deadline was coming. While there are some scattered reports of Afghans being stopped from entering the airport it isn't happening with Us citizens or other foreign nationals.
