considering the banks didnt think he would get elected in 16 and even if he gets reelected the debt becomes due around the time the second term ends so i dont think punitive legislation is a real worry for them


the IRS has all his tax returns- if they wanted him for big dollars they would have already started down that road

Dummy he's been under audit and they are disputing a $73M refund he got in 2010. Any refunds over $2M have to go through Congressional review and approval. His has stalled because both sides are a Grand Canyon apart.

You may love the guy no matter what, but the NYT piece is incredibly detailed and shows what a house of cards Trump is trying to balance. The piece goes into details regarding this dispute.

he will be out of office or on his way out (lame duck) when the notes are due- so why not wait
they can offer him sweet deals now (whether or not they think he has the ability to pay) for favorable treatment elsewhere- but thats illegal no matter when they do it or for whatever reason they do it for while he is in public office- totally legal when he is john Q citizen-again how does this help the banks
