Scientists sharply criticized the Biden administration’s push to widely distribute Covid-19 vaccine booster shots in the U.S. next month, saying the data provided by federal health officials on Wednesday wasn’t compelling enough to recommend third shots to most of the American population right now.

They should check out data coming from Israel, which did just start giving boosters to older citizens because many more vaccinated ones are winding up in the hospital. For the average adult <65 figure you won't get a booster until at least the holidays if not even later (right now the recommendation is to get it 8 months after your second shot). By then things may have radically changed, a new variant may make a booster utterly pointless, we just don't know.

Then imagine the added pressure of being a public figure with everyone watching you struggle emotionally. I just read a story of another female tennis player who is African American and she gets hundreds of disparaging, racist social media posts.

While death threats over a tennis match may seem shocking, several players at this year's U.S. Open have said such things are now part of sport with much of the abuse coming from gamblers hooked on online betting.
