Say woke son...this is from the liberal nytimes too.
Son- the Crime bill was passed on the senate floor with an overwhelming 95 votes of yea in 1993 only 4 senators voted No with 1 undecided.
On the Dems side It wasent just Biden it was Feinstein (CA), Dodd (CT) , Lieberman (CT) Kennedy(MA) and others.
On the Republican side it was Dole (KS) Hatch (UT) Grassely (IA) Murkowski (AK) and more.
You maybe too young at that time but crime in the US was at its highest peak brought on my the crack epidemic of the late 80s.
City’s were crumbling, folks were fleeing to the suburbs ..... the crime bill had very few flaws but plenty of good - for instance it focused on child pornography , DNA investigations and computer crime which was new to law enforcement. It also focused on Crimes against women, recruitment of Police , assault weapons and so much more that has helped our crime rate drop dramatically.
The main topic that sticks out if you did your research on the crime bill was title Vll “ Mandatory Life imprisonment for persons convicted of certain felonies” this incarcerated thousands for life over one drug deal.
Son- do your homework before posting because most Republicans under Trump fought against the release of many who were once incarcerated from this bill. You can’t have it both ways.

First post is this thread for me.
Unemployment figures show that Trump has not only lost all the jobs gained since he took office but also all those gained under Obama as well.
Well done cons
