He's always claimed Ukrainians and Russians are "one people" (they are not). He has warped the histories of the two nation's to fit his narrative. If you believe that is the complete story , than you are simply ignorant of the culpability of both America, NATO and even the Ukraine in the events that are unfolding. That is not to excuse Putin from what he has done, but there are many contributing factors that have driven his desire to Mae his move now. Perhaps if more care was taken to present more issues that Putin was concerned about, that being the possibility of missiles being placed so that a first strike to Moscow would only be 10 minutes away.
These are separate issues than allowing Putin to have a stranglehold on European energy , in which the Biden administration helped make possible by their foolish “ war on fossil fuels” .
All in all, a complete failure of foreign policy, added to a failure of domestic energy policy , have placed America in a situation it hasn’t seen in modern history. The price of oil is rising, stocks are starting to react , inflation , high as it is, may rapidly increase , and our military has been weakened by the Biden’s Administrations preoccupation with wokeness and social justice issues. We are not in a good place, no matter what the media may project. China, Russia and Iran together would be formidable enough to really challenge America’s stability as a dormant world power. Meanwhile our “ intelligence Committee “ Chairman is more interested in playing the blame game, political shenanigans, as Ukraines are slaughtered and Americans get more anxious.Comment

While Biden’s approval rating on the economy remains upside down (45% approve to 53% disapprove), his standing has improved. 36% of Americans previously approved while 58% disapproved.
