Problem is it's not easy to find candidates who 1) want to run for public office (intense public scrutiny, not good pay relative to private sector) 2) have squeaky clean records, and if not clean where is the line in the sand (you'd hope sexual assault would be a non starter but we have DJT and Kavanaugh)

I think there are hundreds, possibly thousands, of qualified and interested women stepping up to the plate recently. They may have eliminated serving from the list of possible paths in the past but that is changing.
