In her new book, Omarosa Manigualt Newman claims that she noticed signs of President Donald Trump‘s mental decline.
According to the excerpt obtained by the Daily Mail, the ex-Apprentice star said she knew something was off when she saw his interview with NBC’s Lester Holt because she has known Trump for so long.
While watching the interview I realized that something real and serious was going on in Donald’s brain. His mental decline could not be denied,’ she writes in Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House.’Many didn’t notice it as keenly as I did because I knew him way back when. They thought Trump was being Trump, off the cuff.’But I knew something wasn’t right.’
It was during that interview Trump made controversial remarks about former FBI Director James Comey‘s firing that contradicted a previous White House statement launching a firestorm.
Omarosa said when she heard Trump’s words she kept thinking, “Oh no! Oh no! This is bad!”
She added: “Donald rambled. He spoke gibberish. He contradicted himself from one sentence to the next.”Comment

Underdog conservative outsider Bill Lee upset a crowded field of well-funded, better-known candidates to win Tennessee's Republican gubernatorial primary Thursday, sending shockwaves through a state where he was down double-digits in polls as recently as last week.
U.S. Rep. Diane Black, who had the endorsement of Vice President Mike Pence, was the clear favorite in the race. Former state economic development chief Randy Boyd, who had the backing of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, was widely considered Black's chief rival.
But President Trump, who has a 56 percent approval rating in Tennessee, stopped short of endorsing any candidate in the race, including Black -- despite keeping her by his side and praising her at several events.
Lee, a businessman whose poll numbers surged dramatically in the last week of the campaign, took advantage of infighting among his rivals, as he traveled the state and touted his Christian values while Boyd and Black sparred.Comment

This is not the first time that Mr. Trump has compared crowd size to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s, though it appears to be the first time he has brought the Boss into the mix.
Mr. Trump has claimed 20,000 to 49,000 people attended his biggest rallies during the 2016 presidential campaign. Even taking Mr. Trump at his word, those figures pale in comparison to audiences that have assembled to hear Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Mr. Springsteen perform.
For example, Mr. Springsteen sold out a two-night show in May 2016 in Dublin, drawing an average of 80,000 people to each show. This June, Beyoncé and Jay-Z performed for a crowd of over 57,000 in Berlin. (In addition, it should be noted that fans purchase tickets to hear the musicians in question, while Mr. Trump’s rallies are free.)
