Snowflake Do you actually know what the criteria is for seeking Asylum? You don’t I’m pretty sure or else you never would have written such nonsense, but remember this one thing and that it’s a felony ( federal offense) to file false information on a federal application, that includes falsifying a claim for asylum. Making such claim requires a brief description of the Asylum claim. The illegal immigrants are claiming to be at harm from their Govt due to political indifferences (False and a big lie).

Donald Trump is smart, living in NYC the melting pot he knows the stories. The truth is the majority of illegals or legal immigrants come here for better amenities ( nothing wrong with that). The Mexicans, El Salvadorians , Peruvians , Chileans and all others are not fleeing because of their political beliefs it’s because they can make some dough and drive a nice car, eat fancy just like you ... that’s not the criteria for Asylum.

      Ah yes, The CIS.....

The Center for Immigration Studies found that as the number of U.S. teens with summer jobs has dropped significantly, employment of immigrants has doubled.

“Immigrants -- legal and illegal -- are crowding out U.S.-born teenagers in the labor market,” according to the report from Steven A. Camarota, director of research at CIS, and demographer Karen Zeigler.

In his analysis, Camarota found that employers are seizing on older immigrants, often over 20 and with some working experience, instead of U.S. teens to fill summer jobs. And another driving factor, he said, may be that immigrants are willing to work for a lower wage.

While good for immigrants, he cited research that it can be devastating for U.S. teens. Shut out of a summer job, they often have difficulty in the workforce for years.

“Teens employed in high school earn more than teens who did not work in the first year after graduation, with wage differences tending to increase over time. Also, teens who were employed in high school are more likely to be employed and work more hours during the year, with a significant relationship between hours worked in high school and subsequent hours worked and wages earned,” said the report
The CIS is one of a number of anti-immigration organizations that John Tanton helped found.[4][6][7] Tanton is a retired Michigan ophthalmologist who opposed immigration on racial grounds, desired a white ethnic majority in the United States and advocated for eugenics.[8][6][9]

Several reports published by the CIS have been disputed by scholars on immigration; a wide range of think tanks; fact-checkers such as PolitiFact, FactCheck.Org, Washington Post, Snopes, CNN and NBC News; and by immigration-research organizations. Critics have accused the CIS of extremist nativist views and for ties to white supremacy groups

•In the 10 states with the largest shares of immigrant workers, just 36 percent of U.S.-born teens were in the summer labor force.

The findings could play a role in the current immigration debate. While the media has focused on children trying to come across the U.S.-Mexico border, most making the legal and illegal passage are older, and it is those who are taking jobs younger American -- and even immigrant -- teens have had in the past.

Wrote Camarota, “The labor force participation of immigrant teenagers has also declined, though it was low even in the early 1990s. This, along with the similar decline for U.S.-born teens from all racial and income backgrounds, supports the idea that the arrival of so many adult immigrants, who often take jobs traditionally done by teenagers, crowds all teenagers out of the labor force, both U.S.-born and foreign-born.”
You guys (or guy) really suck.

The reason he's not rushing this is, first, there really isn't the large problem with separations per Senator's Lankford comments this morning. The illegals are entering using kids as cover. Secondly, Trump is never about optics so these optics are great in his mind because the outrage and negative coverage causes a natural deterrent for those thinking of entering illegally with kids.

That’s just fine, opinions are an essential part of a free society. Bur clearly, the only credible defense is to prove that the facts alluded to in in the post are incorrect. If you are unable demonstrate that , the opinions of you and others are irrelevant. The research is there. Show contrary facts and your opinion will have weight. To deny the obvious affect immigration has on our society is to deny common sense. To think think 10 million or morei llegals in this country does not have consequnces is illogical.

But the Framers knew that, just like they know that the current process for the selection of a SCOTUS JUstice ensures liberty and freedom. You have to come to grips that the last refuge of Progessives in modern times has been an active court to try and mitigate the damages that Pregressives have lost through free election and the Legislative process. The foundation of their current fears is that the last bastion of their ability to disrupt the will of the people by activist jurisprudence has heen derailed by a projected conservative majority in the SCOTUS. It has them absolutely terrified based on their reactions.

You know why teens aren't working? It isn't illegal immigrants. Those that can afford to are choosing not to as they do extra school work, volunteer work etc to get a leg up on college applications. The jobs illegals can get pay crap and are often very physical, jobs teens dont want. In addition as more people are working later in life (by necessity or choice ) they are taking many of the jobs teens used to take. I worked retail and fast food in high school and college. Now there's 65 year olds. working the registers at McDonalds and CVS. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbs...bs-these-days/

Big pharma agrees to hold off on price increases because trump asked them.......what a novel idea, he asked them. Obama created Obamacare and asked the young, healthy and employed to subsidize the unhealthy, unemployed in poor health. If obama had only asked, imagine where we might be today!

Let's examine your response piece by piece.

You know why teens aren't working? It isn't illegal immigrants.

There are an estimated 100,000 illegals in this state, and 10 million in America. Now, using common sense, ask yourself that if an illegal immigrant wasn't here , if they never came here, who would have the job that they have ? Easy answer, an American citizen. Now don't feed me the line that " they do work that Americans don't do " because that also doesn't make sense. If they weren't here, there would be a smaller number of available workers, and in our economy, that situation usually drives wages upwards.

Those that can afford to are choosing not to as they do extra school work, volunteer work etc to get a leg up on college applications

Less than 40 % of CT citizens are College Grads . Even less nationally. That means not everyone is trying to get a " leg up " .

The jobs illegals can get pay crap and are often very physical, jobs teens don't want.

Again, if the illegal wasn't here, there would be less available workers, and wages usually increase under that scenario. You are projecting. You have very little idea what " teens want " or " don't want " in regards to temporary summer employment. Myabe the ones you now, but hardly the tens of millions across America, in various strata.

In addition as more people are working later in life (by necessity or choice ) they are taking many of the jobs teens used to take.

Once again, if the illegal wasn't here the job would be available to a teen, a US citizen.

I worked retail and fast food in high school and college. Now there's 65 year olds. working the registers at McDonalds and CVS.

There have always been 65 year olds working those jobs. I can even remember some of their names. Of course there are more working now, as the population of them has increased due to longer lifespans . Once again, if the illegals wasn't here, the teenager would have a job opportunity.

Additionally, temporary summer employment for a teen will mean that the fruits of their productivity will remain in the US economy, either spent or saved . Many illegals send money back to their home countries which takes the money out of the US economy. Since consumer spending is a vital and important aspect of the economy, the more dollars that are kept here in America, the better it is for all citizens.
