No one will take any US negotiations seriously moving forward. How can you trust the US will hold up our end of the bargain or that the Toddler in Chief won't sign another executive order (on big paper with a big fancy signature!) abolishing it? Why would NK agree to stopping their nuclear program when Trump just destroyed another agreement?

Wasn’t a treaty, never brought before the senate. Future negotiations by other countries will insist the president follow protocol and not promise things his country thinks are not good deals.

Iran's supreme leader chastised President Donald Trump on Wednesday over his decision to pull America out of the 2015 nuclear deal, while lawmakers lit a paper U.S. flag on fire inside parliament, shouting, "Death to America!"

The government backlash reflected broad public anger in Iran over Trump's decision, which threatens to destroy the landmark agreement. While Iranian officials, including the parliament speaker, say they hope Europe will work with them to preserve the deal, many are pessimistic.

In comments before school teachers, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei told Trump: "You cannot do a damn thing!" The exhortation from Khamenei, who has final say on all state matters, follows a pattern of Iranian leaders declaring their nation's ability to resist foreign pressure or interference.

Khamenei described Trump's speech Tuesday announcing his decision as having "over 10 lies," without elaborating on them. He also said Trump's remarks threatened both Iran's people and its theocratic government.

"The body of this man, Trump, will turn to ashes and become the food of the worms and ants, while the Islamic Republic continues to stand," Khamenei said."

What does the Iran deal do?
Simply put, the nuclear deal, known formally as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, stops Iran from getting a nuclear weapon for at least a decade.

On July 14, 2015, a group of countries — the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, China, Germany, and the European Union — agreed to lift crippling sanctions imposed on Iran’s nuclear program, giving it greater access to the global economy.

In return, Iran agreed to take concrete steps to curb its nuclear program, limiting it to strictly peaceful applications, and to allow comprehensive inspections of key nuclear facilities by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to ensure compliance.


Here are just some of those steps:

Iran had about 20,000 centrifuges, but the deal said Iran can’t use more than about 5,000 of them — and they must be among the oldest and least useful ones. That makes it very hard for Iran to create a nuclear bomb if it wanted to today.
Iran gave up 97 percent of its enriched uranium but kept only 300 kilograms of its 10,000-kilogram stockpile in its current form. It has to keep its uranium at about 3.67 percent enrichment; uranium used in nuclear bombs must reach 90 percent enrichment.
Iran would destroy or export the core of its plutonium plant at Arak and replace it with a new core that cannot produce weapons-grade plutonium.
What all that means: Before the deal, Iran could likely make a nuclear bomb within two or three months if it decided to. But after the accord, it would take Iran about a year to make that weapon.

So that’s it: Iran rolls back its ability to get a nuclear weapon and more money flows into the country. There was nothing in the deal that said Iran couldn’t do other nefarious things, like test missiles, sponsor terrorist groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas, or crack down on human rights at home.

Still, there’s controversy: The restrictions on Iran’s centrifuges disappear after 10 years, and the limits on uranium enrichment go away five years after that. Some critics — including Trump — believe it’s therefore possible Iran could go back on the nuclear path around the mid-2020s.

However, inspectors will continue to have access to Iran’s nuclear facilities even after those terms expire, meaning they might still catch Tehran if it tries to make a nuke then.

IAEA.....didn’t iran admit to cheating for 18 years and IAEA had no clue? IAEA admitted they made mistakes in a 2004 report on Iran. Fukushima....their review of the clean up have been universally criticized as poor. Let’s not forget, North Korea signed an agreement with slick billy Clinton in 1993. By 2003, they announced they had nukes and backed out of the agreement...for the next ten years, they continued to shake down us for aid while promising to stop building and testing nukes.....they never did. Do they have a bill gates who after founding a company and making a lot of money has become a humanitarian and philanthropist and is trying to rid the world of polio? Speaking of polio, do they have a Jonas Salk who developed a vaccine for it? Does Iran provide humanitarian aid to other countries?

Trump fans all excited about the NK hostage release but now there's new concerns about US citizens being held in Iran. Trump trying to kill the deal will make it that much more difficult to get them out of Iran.

Also, Trump is virtually the only one who thinks NK will give up its weapons development, something they have been working on for 50 years and has become part of their national identity. Trump is being played by Rocket Man. Maybe Michael Avenati is advising him??
