We need that AND a compulsory draft for armed forces or national service.

I don't know about compulsory, but somehow I'd love there to be some kind of requirement that if someone is elected to the Federal Government, then their kid who comes of draft age must serve, if that happens while in office or in the period between election and swearing in.

Me thinks there would be a lot less willingness to put our young men and women in harm's way.

I also think that all federal employees, including those in Congress, the Executive Branch and the Federal Court system must be required to use the same health care laws and processes put on the rest of the population.

Me thinks the health care problem would be much better addressed as well.

Yeah, I'm just doing some wishful thinking about holding our Congress accountable for them and the President to be so willing to put our young men and women in harms way and keep them there. Look how long we have now been in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's shameful.

So perhaps the answer is a two year compulsory service requirement for all citizens. It must be served between the ages of 18 and 30. Giving time to those who want to get an education first. And I would want it totally compulsory. Serve in the military or in some form of government service. No outs for rich parents, or Congressional ties. No exemptions, outside those too disabled to serve.

America needs a huge bite out of the civics sandwich. This may be the best way to get that done.

Listen he’s a flaky guy he demonstrated that when he ran to Trump last year with info he had bypasseing other lawmakers . He later recused himself from the Russia investigation while lawmakers looked into his possible violation.
And it dosent stop with him, just weeks ago Grassely and Jordan were doing the same thing throwing out bits and pieces regarding the dossier and as soon as Feinstein released it in full they called bloody murder when the story line was nothing to their exaggeration.
