Trump administration wants to cut HUD funds and Carson recently said he wants to raise public housing rents.

      yeah, " manufacturing is dead"
" core values" , you mean like good paying jobs for 35,000 Americans, and thousands more in the supply chain, 80 % of which are American companies, those " core values " ?

You Progressives need to stop reading Time and watching CNN.

United Technologies disclosed today that it expects to hire 35,000 employees in the United States over the next five years, a number equivalent to half of its current domestic employment. The Connecticut-based maker of aerospace systems and commercial building technology (like Otis elevators) also disclosed it expects to spend $15 billion in the U.S. during the same period on capital investments and research.

Do you think the Africans , Hispanics or Chinese give a shyte on your opinions of Trump?

Listen Bubble boy .. College is out but in September go walk through any campus and see the growth of the new world and what’s to come, yeah you can celebrate Trumps ideas but in the real world we are becoming more cultural not a Cult of a country and that’s the difference with you Trumpsters. I and the other hand accept it and welcome it openly while still accepting and supporting some Trump ideas and I say some not all.

This may disappoint you but —-
        Manufacturing is not coming back.
        Illegal immigrants will still enter.
Democrats will still increase the vote base now more than ever over Republicans.
The minority population will increase 5-1 over the White population.
School shootings will continue no matter what measures we make.
The United States of America will be in conflicts around the world till the world ends.
USMNT will still suck if it’s made up with a bunch of white guys.
And so on and so on.

Donald Trump can’t and won’t change anything so pull your pants up man, put the bottle down and straighten yourself out and stop beating yourself up on this site . We would like to talk soccer.
Of course as we will still have illegal immigration. But saying we don’t need to update policy and secure borders is like saying we don’t need laws and speed limits because people will break them. We shouldn’t have taxes and welfare because people will cheat on them. Call it racist if it makes you feel better, but there is a reason this country has advanced and been prosperous. The US has used those advances and prosperity to do a lot of good in the world. We have been spoiled with friendly borders and oceans to protect us, but the world is changing and we have to adapt or risk consequences. Heed the warnings of Europe and Asia or meet the same fate.

The middle class can't afford to live in certain areas because of high taxation and lack of good paying jobs. Many of those jobs have been lost to foreign countries because of poor trade policy by both parties. The middle class are fleeing states like CT and California in droves, a direct result of many Democratic policies .

Public Housing has little to do with the middle class. Only 21 % of residents report income from wages and salaries.

Busy day at White House. No North Korean summit and now this ...

This North Korea thing is confusing. I blame Obama, but

Since he's now saying the military is ready "if necessary" (as in, we'll flatten NK if I want to) I think he's out of the running for Nobel any time soon. Threatening people usually isn't on the the committee's check list.

As UT is heavily involved in the defense department and Trump is upping spending (unnecessarily) on defense, not surprising they're investing. It's also an area where I'd personally prefer it not be relying on cheap labor in countries not known for protecting secrets (China). Meanwhile Harley Davidson closing one of its plants. Others are as well. You can only do so much to stem the flow to cheaper labor markets. if wages start to go up here, that will only get worse, not better. In addition, many industries have been dead/damaged for so long that there's no ready production capacity or trained labor to fill demand. The US can't just start producing textiles in large numbers overnight. And Americans love their $5 t-shirts and don't care where they're made. They won't buy American on a regular basis if the price differential is too big.

One of the reasons many American companies are leaving China is because of the theft of their intellectual property , so there is a trend back in this direction. Regardless of trying to get back any lost industries, there is an incentive tax wise and resource wise to invest here in America. We happen to grow the cotton here and them ship it to China. You can't compete with slave labor and a manipulated currency.

Harley Davidson's Brand is for an older generation , supply and demand rules the day and demand is lower with today's generation.

Both parties have been complicit in selling out the American interests for the benefit of the Globalists. As a businessman, Trump knows that the American people have been taking it on the chin, and he is the first person in decades to do something about it. Regardless of his success or failure, he has put our trading partners on notice. It is about time.

Only a Progressive Democrat would fine 35,000 jobs something to complain about. But, but , but.... I guess Nancy Pelosi was correct when she said unemployment checks help the economy, right ?

Price Waterhouse just announced they are adding jobs in Stamford and Hartford. More bad news, right ?

No one said it was bad, but there's almost always job losses elsewhere, including that IN Carrier plant Trump was crowing about around the election. This state desperately needs some good paying jobs so PW is great news. Net/net we keep adding more jobs - always good - but wages aren't going up with the tightening labor market. Gas prices have gone up nearly $.50/year and other costs are outpacing wages as well.
