Carl Icahn was a special advisor on regulation in the Trump administration, until be resigned several months ago.

Of course, he was anti-regulation, especially in regards to the SEC.

Over 90% of public support universal background checks. Party of the people or NRA

Auto , Steel , Coal and similar industries have been fighting for their survival for decades - jobs of these types don’t get farmed out to overseas companys. The only complaints I’m hearing is from Republican/Trumpsters , you seem to have no idea how its scaring the pants off Trumps corporate donators of Wall Street.

Of course he did. We all knew he would and that the meeting was all for show. Congress is back tracking as well. So is the FL legislature after the NRA rallied their FL members to call legislators. People on the right always question why Obama couldn't get legislation through after Sandy Hook (the House was already under GOP control and he didn't have 60 Dems in the Senate either). Now it's a Republican president AND a GOP led Congress and we still won't get meaningful legislation despite overwhelming public support. The NRA is holding our country hostage.

Not quite. You brought up Trump’s financial issues, all done through due process, all legal.
The Green startups, including many DEm cronies, were given taxpayer $$$ , then went belly up. Do you think those CEOs and CFOs took it on the chin ? No the taxpayer did.

Then there was the Three Card Monty played by Obama with GM and Chrysler going bankrupt. He stepped in and pulled the process from the normal course of action, and bamboozled the tax payers who once again, were soaked big time. They had the MSM covering for them, with the barrage of : it was all paid back “, but a detailed analysis of the particulars shows a multi billion dollar collar around the taxpayer’s neck.

Look around and open your eyes. For many decades both Parties have allowed foreign countries to flood our marketplace with item after item that was once made here in the USA. Sold us on the mantra “ it is good for the consumer”. Good that is, until that consumer loses his job. Our dollars have gone over to China and others , fueling their economies, lifting their workers into higher social economic strata, while our factories close and towns get shuttered.
As trillions of $$ left America, out debt has now increased to nearly 20 trillion $$ or more.

The Globalists have been successful in beating up the American workers, keeping their wages stagnant , their standard of living lower with purchasing power decreased , while foreign Governments laugh all the way to the bank.

At least with Trump his actions are out front, every burp covered feverishly by the MSM. The destruction of the economic engine of America has been engineered in front of our own eyes , but hidden quite nicely until the effects are like a infectious ailment emerging and visible.

Trumpsters have no idea why they voted for the con man aside from the fact they were Angry, Racist and paranoid at the world but DT came along and said the things they wanted to hear.

It’s interesting when following this post the Trumpsters who go MIA when DTs ideas lead more to the Democratic side.

Starting a trade war we cannot win with other nations will crush our economy. It will not build jobs (and btw we're at near full employment as it is now.). Yes we live in a global economy. Can't take it back and most don't want to.

Nonsense. You are forgetting about the 4 month period that Obama’s had the votes, Congress and the White House. But the priority at the time was to loot the Treasury for a trillion dollar “ stimulus” plan that just transferred the money to unions , municipalities and other cronies. There weren’t even any shovels ready. The next order of business was to ram the ACA through, satisfying a long standing itch of Progressive Dems. They could have done something about gun control, but chose not to.

THe NRA is just like any other organization that does what their membership would like. Painting legal gun owners with a wide brush , and trying to blame them for advancing their Constitutional Rights on these issues is just silly. In this particular case, it was a failure of the Government , and their Law Enforcement Agencies to protect the citizens. Pretty cut and dry.

“ if you see something , say something “ Well, people did day something. Many people. And it was ignored. Now tell me who the hostage holders were.

There are 40,000 people living on the streets in Los Angeles , tens of thousands more in other parts of California , Florida, Washington, all over the country. Full employment? The statistics you are being fed are bogus and always have been. There are 40 million people on SNAP.

Our economy IS being crushed right now, and it has been ever since the Politicans started selling out the American worker. The CEOs that are the globalists have seen there compensation skyrocket, while the American worker has had rising taxes, flat earnings and is penalized for saving.
