100 milliongun owners in America 1/4 of the population

Law of averages that a good number of teachers are also gun owners- a good number are also ex military

They would have to go thru a police/ military training program

The opposition view is that Parkland proved that cops won’t save you. In that case they didn’t even try. NRA has been preaching self defense and self reliance. Sadly this is an extreme example where they are right.

In your scenario teachers can’t be trusted either. I guess our kids are screwed when we admit we don’t trust cops or teachers anymore. Sad society we live in.

It is called a deterrent. Not much difference than a beware of dog sign or an alarm system. Maybe makes the psycho think twice.

NRA endorsed, of course it's a good idea. Perhaps a little smarter than arming the students.
Also been proposed to hire ex military, US Marshal or have full time armed guards. All gonna cost money.

There are 400 million people in America? Does that include all the illegals?

            Lol.

These shooters are on suicide missions. You called the psychos rightly. What attracts them are the crowds and the revenge to be had. The presence of guns aren't a deterrent to someone intent of killing mass casualties and themselves

                  Wrong about what, Dummy?

                  I was asking a question.

Oh, I like your "facts". Your inability to answer a question is also telling. "A number" means nothing. That's why I call you Dummy.

(CNN)When Coral Springs police officers arrived at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14 in the midst of the school shooting crisis, many officers were surprised to find not only that Broward County Sheriff's Deputy Scot Peterson, the armed school resource officer, had not entered the building, but that three other Broward County Sheriff's deputies were also outside the school and had not entered, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. The deputies had their pistols drawn and were behind their vehicles, the sources said, and not one of them had gone into the school.

Biometric safes? I'd rather an armed marshall. Milliseconds matter in a live shooting situation. It's not like at the gun range, Rambo.

Guess you are referring to me. Federal Marshall....what a dumb idea. 1 in each school. I tend to not want to read a long rant of jibberish from both sides Republicans or Democrats.

Paddock had no signs of any Mental instability’s but yet he killed dozens more people , and many other mass shooting suspects had nothing revealing leading up to their murderous mission but one thing they all have in common is the amount of guns that were at their ease to purchase. It’s about Guns nothing else—- if Paddock was limited to the purchase of one Gun as his 2nd Amendment right and a 50 round limit , his Vegas slaughter would probably yield fatalities in the single digits or none at all.
Paddock owned 47 guns and bought 33 in 12 months prior to his terrorist attack if anyone on here finds nothing wrong with that then we shouldn’t be discussing this any further.

To much Ease of One individual stock piling of Guns and Amunition are problem in this country.
What makes it even worse is 18 yr olds should not be buying AR 15s or any powerful rifle like that but be restricted at a bar to drink , makes no sense.

Ironically the same argument that the pro gun lobby would make. Hard to stop people hell bent on mayhem and murder. So your stance seems like a gun grab pure and simple. Just a simple anti gun stance.

The difference is the teacher is already in harms way. If he/she doesn’t act, then he/she could be a statistic.

The puzzy rent a cops were not in harms way and didn’t want to put themselves in harms way to save lives.

Sad, but a teacher did make the ultimate sacrifice for his students. Imagine if he was armed instead of unarmed. Even if he only saved one life, that makes the whole state investment worth it, escpecially if it is your kid. Add the saved life to the court/ jail savings because that little faggit wouldn’t be alive and that would be worth it
