Not the poster but US passport holders have no good reasons for not leaving sooner. They had AMPLE warning and time. There's a group of kids there whose families were warned by the state department prior to leaving the US that they shouldn't go but they did anyway. Couldn't miss the summer seeing their Afghan cousins or whatever. Sorry I've little sympathy for them. The US will do what they can to get people out should they want to.

I do feel for the Afghans who worked with the US military and government who couldn't get out. However even then they often want to bring large family groups with them. At what point do we cut the list and prioritize those most at risk?
