Pfizer vax requires two doses so that doubles however much you get from them off the bat

Pfizer is first to market but an inferior product in terms of needing the two doses and the extreme cold storage requirement. The others will become the market leaders as they roll out because they're one shot, almost as effective and don't need pricey storage and dry ice. It will be much easier to roll those out away from major medical centers or big science universities that have the storage. Not many facilities can justify the expenditure to get the storage, if they can even find it at all right now

All of the “others” save for one require a second shot, dumbass. The J&J candidate is single
Dose and we don’t have data on that yet, but it does use a similar approach as the astra offering which has had problems and has an uphill regulatory path as a result

They were first into clinical trials and met the clinical trial milestones on schedule so it was pretty obvious in early summer that as soon as they met the bar for efficacy and safety, they would be first to market. Only Moderna moved forward as quickly and you do see that they are also seeking approval NOW.

I established in my last post that you don’t know much about this process and it’s painfully obvious.

It was a mistake for the Trump administration not to leave the door open to purchase more Pfizer vaccine doses earlier this summer, an administration official told CNN on Monday.

The admission comes even as the White House has denied they turned down an offer to procure more vaccine doses earlier this year and ahead of President Donald Trump's executive order signing aimed at prioritizing the shipment of the coronavirus vaccine to Americans before other nations.

The official added that the US simply may have to hope that the other vaccines being produced by other companies are just as effective as the Pfizer doses.
