There's other things that may keep the market down. Toss in a Trumpian international crisis and we may not see those peak numbers for quite some time.

I wish they were all toothless southern rednecks. But I know enough smart, seemingly normal people who voted for the guy. That's scarier. I think many of those folk have realized they made a big mistake (several have told me so) but if the election polls showed us anything, you can't always believe what the numbers say

That article is pretty weak. Do you really think 1% (over 10 years infrastructure) increase in national debt is going to bring the market down. Obama was increasing the national debt 10%/year.

All 3 concerns noted in the article are not new pieces of information (efficient market hypothesis), these risks are built into the market already in some way already. Nothing new.

Data says other wise - "Exit polling nationwide showed Trump won two-to-one among people without a college degree, matched Clinton among college graduates, losing only those with graduate degrees, a group that has voted for the Democrats since 1988." Needless to say there weren't enough graduate degrees out there to counter the high school grad vote. But there were educated people that voted for him, women and even some Hispanics too.

Longer term - minorities are growing, old white guys are dying off, more people continue to move towards urban/suburban enclaves, away from rural areas. Might not be fast enough to get Trump out, but it doesn't bode well for the GOP long term

After Trumps presidency (2024) minorities will realize that Trump's (GOP) polices will have helped them more than past and current liberal policies. Those groups will change their allegiances over time. Nothing is always fixed in politics.

Of course, let's respond by once again, dragging up Hillary Clinton and waving that flag around some more.

She lost the election. She's out of office and she' not relevant to any of the issues being battled today. I could care less what she did in 2008. She didn't win. Move on.

the grammys thought she was relevant enough to read them a story the other night
she read about our president having an affair with a very accomplished woman who has denied it ever happened
she has a history of trashing women when it suits her-this is just one more in a long line of examples- hope she wore the white flower while she did it
                            that would be priceless
