There could be "zero" growth in the U.S. economy if the shutdown lasts through the end of the first quarter, the White House’s top economist, Kevin Hassett, told CNN's Poppy Harlow on Wednesday.

There's also the nearly 12 million government contractors who aren't guaranteed back pay. Anyone who thinks that plus the federal workers doesn't have an economic impact is a fool

Next move: invade Venezuela to distract from domestic failures and provoke the base to rally.

Come on Snowflakes. You don't believe 99% of what the White House says but then when it supports your narrative you believe it?

Snowflakes, that's why they are contractors, because their jobs can be pulled at a drop of a hat? Have you worked in the real world?

"About 71 percent of federal workers oppose the shutdown—which crawled into its 10th day on Monday—according to a new survey by Government Business Council and GovExec.com, while 22 percent support it. Nine in 10 of those supporting the shutdown do so because they support Trump’s fight for wall funding, though a small handful feel so opposed to the wall that they want agencies to close in order to block the wall from being built. About 30 percent of federal workers support a wall, though 35 percent of those individuals say the means of a shutdown do not justify the ends. Overall, 15 percent of federal employees who oppose a shutdown support Trump’s proposed wall.
Snowflake... can you use your brain for a second... think about the validity of this type of survey. Are you happy to free loaf around for a while or do you want to go to work and get paid? Really, is this the type of data you hang your hat on. Now wonder why you snowflakes want to be like Venezuela.

Most workers have no choice as to who their employer choses to work with.

You're a special kind of stupid if you think workers don't mind not getting paid "for the greater good." You should hang out with Wilbur Ross and Lara Tump more often. Both have had some "let them eat cake" moments the last two days.

                              Hey Snowflake, so let's see:

                              A) Get paid not to go to work
                              B) Get paid to go to work

In your brilliant mind, 70% choose B (federal workers no less). You must believe the type that believes the election results in countries like Iran and Syria.

Tens of thousands have been required to work AND aren't getting paid. You try it for awhile and let us know how it feels
