What an embarrassment... hope you Republickasses sent your $5 contributions for the Wall (wink !! wink!! nudge !! nudge!!)...
A total BORE ... completely inconsequential.... was expecting to see a tantrump... and what we got was a fundraiser aimed at dopes...
Agree that he isn’t a good public speaker, but good lord, Pelosi and Schumer looked like something out of American Gothic. They were just missing the pitchforks. For me, he was boring, but he told the truth (for a change), and I’ve yet to hear a coherent explanation as to why Schumer and company supported building a wall before, but don’t now.
This was tRUMP's choice and he was basically pathetic.... and your response is to criticize the Dems... hmmm...
tRUMP told the truth ? Have you been at the bottle again or are you simply addicted to Fux News? and just repeating their talking points ? ...
note Schumer and Pelosi never supported building a wall (grasping for straws)

Well then explain this voting (schumer).....maybe this is a yea doesn’t mean yea thing)

https://www.senate.gov/legislative/L...n=2&vote=00262

Here is the summary of the provision the vote was on from Wikipedia so you don’t need to read the whole thing, and I quote....
In 2006, at the time it was passed, George W. Bush's White House touted the fence as "an important step toward immigration reform."[1] The White House Office of the Press Secretary stated that the Act "Authorizes the construction of hundreds of miles of additional fencing along our Southern border; Authorizes more vehicle barriers, checkpoints, and lighting to help prevent people from entering our country illegally; Authorizes the Department of Homeland Security to increase the use of advanced technology like cameras, satellites, and unmanned aerial vehicles to reinforce our infrastructure at the border."[1]

Seems to me exactly what trump said last night....maybe I missed something!

When will the Republicans learn that The American people are sick and tired of the govt shutdowns that they the Republican Party are so eager to own.
In 95 under Clinton and the longest shutdown to date, Republicans lost 6 Senate seats.
Innocent Americans being punished because one party won’t get their way is shameful. The Republican leaders don’t care about the hard working Americans who’s dependency of feeding their family’s rest in their hands.

We are now seeing more & more cracks in the Republican Party as many Senators up for Election in 2020 could and will lose their seats.

After this Shutdown I highly doubt Trump will attempt this again, it’ll be political suicide.

Chuck and Nancy are in a tough spot. Trump was elected with this as a campaign promise. So that tells me a lot of Americans want border security, including barriers. You can go back to the same polls that Hillary was reading though and think the democrats look good on this issue

I wish chucky cheese would explain why he voted for wall funding in 2006, but now he doesn’t support it?
What he voted for back then was the 700 miles that have already been put up. Contrary to what tRump keeps saying Dems do want secure borders NOT open borders. They just don't see the need for a larger, 2200 mile wall. Shore up security in certain spots but spend the bulk of money on staffing and technology so we can get better at tracking overstays that account for 70% of all illegals each year

Yes many want security. Not many want his "wall"; in fact it's only about 1/3 that are screaming for it, including Coulter, Limbaugh and the Faux crowd.

Yes you did miss something .... the word "WALL" ... note the 2006 vote (yes 2006!!) was for a limited amount of FENCE (700 miles) at strategic points and mostly for the intelligent use of technology in curbing illegal immigration (ps exactly what the Dems are still saying). The difference is that tRUMP wants a 1954 mile long concrete WALL (oh and by the way did you send along your $50 contribution to the tRUMP campaign.?).

Mexico was supposed to pay for it (do you want me to send along the multiple video links of video of tRUMP saying this?)... now it's down to indirectly paying it through NAFTA.... (so we are supposed to believe that Canada and Mexico are paying for it through great deal making by Donaldo).

Suggest you take a step back and look at how stupid and nihilistic your arguments are ...

Concerning the new NAFTA deal
Is it a better deal for American companies affected? Yes or no
If the answer to both is yes then they are paying indirectly as the companies will help our economy
Will those companies make more $ than they would have under the old deal? Yes or no

Don't try and change the subject or to ask dopey dichotomous questions.... what has this got to do with the WALL?

Why do so many here not understand the issue?

Hasn't the choice to shutdown the government come at the decision of the President? Hasn't a bipartisan financing package already been sent up to the President, that if signed, would fund the government into February? Isn't he the one who chose not to sign it and thus, close the government?

Should the President of the United States, essentially blackmail the Congress, by making public servants go without pay, in order to get funding/legislature to support his position?

Are the Democrats refusing to discuss and negotiate on his proposed immigration reforms? Is that what they spoke to last night? Or did they speak to the terrible decision on the President's part to hijack the government as leverage?

Have not the Democrats said that negotiations can begin again on the wall and other important border security considerations AFTER the government is again functioning?

Are you prepared to see your fellow American citizens suffer when those paychecks stop coming in? Why should they suffer over the incompetence and stonewalling that the President and Democrats are doing to each other here?

Does the President not have the ability to move this all forward with the stroke of a pen on the bottom of a piece of paper as she puts his signature to this already submitted bipartisan funding package?

And finally, why haven't the Republican governors of Arizona and Texas come forward here and supported the President's position, if this is so critical?

What should we conclude when the most loyal media network calls out the President for the "facts" he offered up over this national crisis of his?

Nor can he claim fake news media bias - they all carried his little charade last night, even through the better networks and the big 3 really didn't want to (Fox was always all in, cable and network). But he blew his load and they won't fall for that nonsense again. If we were to have an actual crisis? Heaven help us all.
