He can only get one for the first Federal trial. He can't get one for upcoming state trials. I think the above poster is also correct that he can't get one if he pled guilty. Politically pardoning him is foolish, but lord knows Trump has zero self control. Google the jurist in the first trial who is a huge trump fan. She went in wanting to believe he was innocent but even she was like, "heck yeah he's guilty." He was one jurist away from being found guilty of all 18 charges. Trump is also very petty and vindictive and values undying loyalty. If Manafort gives up info, Trump will never forgive him. Same with Michael Cohen - he's got no chance to every get a pardon. He also didn't work wit Manafort for long, but his throwing long time attorney Cohen under the bus shows he has no loyalty to anyone. Don jr? He'll pardon him for sure. Trump only claimed he didn't know about the payments and denied the allegations but that's not exactly calling her a liar but even if he did call her a liar its only because she brought it up in the first place after breeching an NDA. Your defamation case is super weak. There was no harm prior to brining it up publicly.

It was going to get published anyway so she was trying to stay ahead of the story. What's so funny is Trump says he wants stronger defamation and libel laws, yet he defames all the time. He's called countless people liars and worse. His lawyer claims it's free speech but free speech guarantees your right to speak up against the government without retribution. He should because he's guilty as fuk. supposedly the evidence is even stronger for this next trial. He was already found guilty in the first and almost got nailed with all the charges (one juror didn't find guilt on half the charges). He is running out of money and doesn't want to spend all his waning years in jail (he's almost 70). He should have taken a deal before the first trial but foolishly thought he'd win. Accountants and bankers make for boring witnesses but the numbers are black and white.
