We're turning the corner

Yep -- thanks to President Trump we can expect to hit 300,000 Americans dying from covid today. And, we can look forward to killing off 2,000-3,000 Americans a day for many months to come yet. President Trump has set it all in stream of course, but he has only 40 more days in office to kill -- so figure that will be 80,000 to 120,000 more Americans dying thru January 20 -- just a another entire city's worth of Americans. Still, more needs to be done if Trump wants to hit 500,000 dead Americans by January 21. I know, I know, he is doing his part by doing nothing, and holding maskless events at the White House. Those have worked so well for spread. But, don't we all need to do a lot more of doing nothing if we really want to kill off 200,000 more Americans by January 21?

You know who took the pandemic of covid-19 seriously? Taiwan. Small land mass -- tight packed population, 23.75 million people in a little under 14,000 sq. miles. Been through some similar things in the past. That's 2 million more people than the population of Florida all tight packed in there. How is Taiwan doing? Is anyone still alive? Well, as of yesterday, they have had 725 cases and 7 have died. Sure -- that's great compared to Florida which had over 11,000 new cases yesterday and 123 die.

Wait a sec -- something is off here with Taiwan's numbers. Yeah, sure, they are probably worse than Florida right? Oops. Nope. Taiwan has had 725 cases and 7 die from covid since February. So -- the comparison figures are Taiwan, 725 cases versus Florida 1.1 million cases. Taiwan 7 deaths. Florida 19,590 deaths.

Secret immunity? Early vaccine? Nope -- just took the threat seriously from the beginning. You know, did not pretend that it would magically go away. Or that people would not understand.

After all, the Governor just required that Florida law enforcement raid the home of a former health research employee and confiscate her computer (and all the mice - I just love that from the search warrant. Gotta make sure to get all mice used with the computer, because . . . . .ahh because, . . . . we are stupid?). Yeah, but she did not immediately let them in. Ohhh - the absurdly raiding police are going with the Breonna Taylor defense? That always works well doesn't it. They knocked at 2 in the afternoon right? What -- it was just before 8 in the morning? Yeah, that was a stupid time to do it, but you know -- if you waited until after 9 -- there would be TV crews and lawyers involved, and then they wouldn't actually be able to go in with their guns drawn and point them at her kids. Well -- at least it shut her up right? Wait a second -- it made her nationally famous and she is on every national news program. Fox news is carrying her that's how incredibly stupid this was. Every major lawyer in the country wants her case -- huge publicity and big fees to collect. And, maybe force the Governor to have to resign.

Hey Flakey, Taiwan's impressive success battling the coronavirus was largely attributed to early and strict border controls, a ban on foreign visitors and mandatory quarantine for all Taiwanese returning home from abroad.

Oh yeah and the 23 million people have also proactively been wearing face masks, even before they were required to do so. Would you look at that, all with no lockdowns.
