Luckily Trump teamed up govt and private industry to accomplish this in about 6 months! Quite a feat. JUst saw Biden is going to shut down the economy with a lockdown for 4-6 weeks to fix the issue ..... for the small businesses that made it through the fiasco, my condolences. Corporate America wins again and without small, local competition, you will have no say but to shop for milk and eggs at walmart and target and enjoy your nights out with the girlfriend or wife at burger king and subway.

Of course when he got sick he got the best medicine and treatment available to show that with science we can make a difference if you are white, rich and in power. Too bad for the rest of us.
Is it me or are people acting like this will be the first left leaning democratic president this country has had?? You Trump sheeple are a a different kind of dumb. If he didn't act like the highest office in the world was a reality show and showed some dignity, he wouldn't be where he is today. The vocabulary of a 13 year old is also a major drawback

Your crazy ass solution is to shut the entire economy down, a massively racist policy that disproportionately impacts lower income people, while you work from home, get paid and pontificate how stupid everyone else is. It is extremely selfish and greedy of you. How about you donate 100% of your paycheck to those you put out of work. Maybe your very limited intellectual skills just cannot understand that there are some things in life you cannot control. Protect the vulnerable, spend all you want, but do not destroy the lives of many many millions so a bunch of rich, white, snobs can feel like they are doing good when in actuality they are doing nothing and sacrificing nothing. Take a look in the mirror. You are lower than scum, or just not bright enough to know how stupid your recommended policies are.

now that 70% of restaurants, bars, gyms, retail stores are or soon to be going out of business and millions of lives ruined, you want us to do it again?
this is especially true if a 74 year old out of shape guy can kick this thing in 3 days- he got medicine- so we have what we need to fight this thing

EU countries are struggling to balance keeping economies open and keeping cases from getting out of control. As has been recommended here (but not always followed) shutdowns are of a limited nature in terms of location and scope based on local data. The recommendations are common sense - very limited social gatherings, restrictions on bars and restaurants - basically stay home as much as you can outside of school, work, groceries. Schools are mostly staying open but doing so carefully. Many EU nations have continued to support their populations financially (not 100% but enough to cover many of the basics). Here hundreds of thousands are in eviction/foreclosure proceedings and the lame duck Congress and president won't get a dam thing done to help people.

You cons are funny with your fear of any "isms" when you don't even understand any of them, what their differences and similarities are and how anything applies (or doesn't) here in the US
