That’s CDC guidance.
How is this. In 1985 the CDC prohibits gay men from blood donation.
Do you know when they finally fixed that?
2015
30 years to correct course
Now i think they adjusted the guidance on Zika a few years ago to be that “only YOU should wear a condom”. It’s probably because of your lack of understanding how scientific theories move to laws and the role of experiments and white papers. I think I learned that in 9th science in a rural school in the 1990’s. Not exactly exclusive and new knowledge.

I personally believe that the vaccines are great and highly effective but I am sick of hearing the govt say soany different things frequently and then reverse their course ..... My trust in their knowledge and expertise has severely waind over the last 18 months and I wish they would shut up until they can provide 2 reputable citations with their guesses. They are shooting themselves in the foot and appear to defy or support whatever our president says depending on who holds the position .... There I no place for politics in science. That vaccines should have been released last October and that alone speaks volumes.

BUT if joe or Obama or Bush were in the white house when this started we still wouldnt have a vax
Trump did what Trump does best he looked at it as a business with a time line- and he broke through all the red tape he could to fast track it- politicians have no idea how to do that
the conspiracy was the nightly barrage of death rates and the commentary of negativity about the vaccine- joe, kamala and andrew included. In the end Trump was right and did what they said couldnt be done
joe is contributing to this new spike by dismantling the border- tha Delta and lambda variants come from the southern continent and that border security is more important than ever- the fact that they arent vaccinating everyone they catch just shows how unserious they are about this- no crisis at the border and no vax crisis for illegals- but Americans must get vaxed

Trump promises:
100M in September
20M end of December
Trump reality
Jan 1 2021 = 3.5M doses
Why? No planning past getting it out the door. They should have been planning for MONTHS while vaccines were in development.
"How did we end up here? The Trump administration’s lack of leadership, incoherent strategic planning and poor attention to detail have created foundational barriers to getting vaccines distributed at scale. The unfocused, patchwork approach President Donald Trump has helped foster means vaccine distribution has been functionally outsourced to individual states, creating significant discrepancies in who is prioritized for vaccine eligibility. This has also entailed major breaks from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations.
National recommendations from the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) have outlined the following priority groups for initial vaccine distribution: first, health care personnel and residents at long-term care facilities, followed second by essential front-line workers outside of health care and people 75 and older.
However, due to the abdication of the federal government’s responsibility to oversee distribution, every state and territory have ultimately been left to develop their own approaches to vaccine distribution — including defining their own priority groups. As in so many other instances with our response to the pandemic, this is leading to significant inconsistencies in how Americans living in different parts of the country have been affected.
"The lack of a clear federal approach has also meant that the actual delivery of vaccinations has cascaded down to public health departments without adequate preparedness or vitally required support. Public health agencies at the state and local levels are chronically underdeveloped and underfunded. In some counties, there is not even a local public health department, leaving much of this work to fall to the state. Such limitations have been widely characterized for years and are well known. Despite this, as the pandemic has progressed, inadequate attention has been paid to how distribution would actually get done at the local level."

In fact the Dems wanted more $ in the stimulus package for local agencies and states for vaccine distribution and the GOP fought it.
