And yes I am sure there maybe 1 or 2 team at oakwood that beat FSA. Long story short both FSa and oakwood get beat at every age group by CFC.
    Maybe, maybe not. So?

So stupid to base an "Elite" league based on politics rather than quality.

CFC just spanked OW at 2004 and it wasn't close. one way traffic. I guess you consider that to be quality.

Hey littles dad, you're not understanding, ECNL will never consider Oakwood or a third club in CT. Not because they don't like or think Oakwood is competitive. Simply, it would dilute the talent base in CT, which would make all teams weaker by definition. ECNL is a platform for the top kids in the country to compete against the best players in the country, which drives college coaches and sponsors to support. If you look at their success, they won't change because their afraid your daughters 08 Oakwood team is really really good.

Thank you; someone who understands. Instead of the whiny Oakwood parents who think their club is so great. Newsflash; it’s not.

if the 3 clubs already have their player pool to support their teams how does ow joining ECNL make all 3 clubs weaker?

What makes you think Oakwood is elite now? That’s the part you don’t understand. You’re no better than FSA and won’t make ECNL stronger.

CT does not have the pool, at least not all centralized where these clubs are. FSA struggles at every age group right now against the current ECNL teams. Unless they really improve, i cant see how this changes. Oakwood would get blown apart by teams like SUSA, World Class and CFC. So that would be two teams, half an hour apart, who would be at the bottom two places in pretty much every age group in the NE conference.

No. ECNL is a platform for top players within a certain area and income level who can commit to the unnecessary travel and bow down to a few of the larger clubs who allow them to have multiple teams vs. others.

For those who fit that narrow criteria across the country, it's a great platform. For those who don't, tough shlt.

Just don't position it in a manner that every player not there would "dilute the talent base". It's a marketing scam that tells idiotic fools they have to travel really far to play a game.

Some by the scam, others don't.

I can tell which category you are in.

(And, to be clear, I am not associated with Oakwood nor do I have a "little")

Bayside got in (next year) for boys, not girls. NEFC are already in ECNL for boys (this year). Acceptance on the boys side has nothing to do w the girls. Ecnl boys not at the same level as the girls side.

Not saying it is equitable or caters to the masses, it is most definitely focused on those that can afford it. Many of the families sacrifice so their kids can play ECNL. CFC gives six figures in scholarships each year as do many of the clubs around the country. It is clearly a for profit business for the clubs, sorry, I don't know how to change that and the USSF didn't either. They ran out of money supporting the DA and without any warning pulled the plug and left all those kids/clubs in a tough situation. At least I can understand and weigh the ECNL value propostion. This is the path many take to get the most exposure, that is a fact. What isn't a fact is there are other paths for talented kids not playing in this league to find great opportunities for themselves. To each his own, I think I know what category you are in too.

Really the state should have like 1.5 clubs. There just isn't enough talent to go around. FSA would probably lose some players to OW, weakening a club that is already in the basement but not strengthening OW enough to bring it off of the basement stairs.

Three clubs will not happen in this state, at least not with CFC+FSA+OW. They're all too close together and the player pool too small

There is plenty of talent between OW and FSA to form a strong team in all age groups that can compete in ECNL. Would be on par with CFC.

The GA is such a joke. Word on the street is the NJ showcase has been moved to NC and that one is still in question of even happening. When it comes to Empire they got booted from the DA most teams were -35 goals plus each year they played. Former Oakwood parent and got out just in time. They will always be around and maybe one-day back on top but that day is so far away your kids kid may be playing. If you are looking for a good club CFC ECNL or you have to go to Mass to play. On the flip side they are a great tier level 2 club and that is not a knock on them but look around and see what FC Stars and NEFC and others have put in D-1 then compare schools and please do not tell me that Lumie girl she was not a Oakwood player maybe had a cup of coffee but they did not train her.
