Yes, absolutely. But, the way the wood get laid about regarding ECNL, one would expect differently.

I mean...I read post and post after post about how poor GDA is, so the theme over the last couple of days on here is that it's the same as ECNL.

    Interesting concession.

Get over all the league crap. Places like Stars and PDA pull from a huge radius. The develop talent, pull from branches and aggregate talent. Those clubs did not just take their NPL team and move them up. They compiled players from their DA teams, NPL teams and outside talent. The thing is, those big clubs can attract top outside talent. As for NPL talent, I remind you that Oakwood DA is simply an NPL team rebranded. Or look at SSS in MA, they were top in the country in NPL at certain ages. Now they are DA. Same team, differenct league. Top NPL teams and mid tier ECNL teams are no different and often the only difference in any of this is one or two players on a team. Worry about you own kid not the league they play in. So many of you hang your hat on a league or a badge when your kid is not even the game changing player.

But...but...but...this doesn't seem to align. I hear ECNL is so great and GDA is so terrible, but the more y'all reply the more you are stating they are the same.

        Again...interesting concession

The issue with GDA in the NE is the top to bottom quality. NEFC putting up 7-0, 8-0, 9-0 scores against different teams in multiple age groups last year is pretty telling. That doesn't mean "GDA is terrible", but i think there is a much wider gap in quality between the top and bottom teams than you see in the NE ECNL right now.

I disagree. You've got your top teams in ECNL, you've got your bottom dwellers, and you've got a mash of clubs who compete. Just like in GDA.

            Same.

            Friggin'.

            Leagues.

(Just named differently and one feels threatened by that)

I don't recall 7-0, 8-0, 9-0 scorelines being a regular occurrence in NE ECNL last year... not to mention that 15-0 beating that NEFC put on Alby.

There is a pretty big difference in NE. Check the results. The other poster is correct.

Oh, I did. Was floored how crappy some of these ECNL teams were. Expected more more.

A couple of really good teams; a few really crappy teams.

                  Same.

                  League.

I get it hurts the ECNL chest-puffing, but reality bites sometimes, ya' know?

Seems like you are the one doing the chest-puffing. Just post those 7-0, 9-0, 15-0 NE ECNL results... let us know which "really crappy" teams lost by those scores last season. We'll wait....

                      Can't, results are gone.

How are they "chest-puffing" if I'm saying they are equal?

I don't think you understand what the term means.

That's not a few crappy teams, it's half of the division.
