All good points but most 02s are rising seniors and should have been on a team already. The real funnel happens from U15single year team to U17 two year team. Great points, but I believe there has to be more to it. To have that many kids leave a program in a year, Oakwood must be doing something wrong. Don't buy the commitment excuse. When that two year age grouping happens a lot of clubs try to hold on to the players that don't make the cut by offering "pre academy" or some other team option in the club ($$$). DA is also trying to run leagues for those ages. Problem is that's a big risk. Are you really going to make the cut the next year? If you decide to take that chance just know that the clubs and league don't care about younger players who aren't skilled enough to play with the older ones.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment
