yeah, well, like Beachside the term "non-profit" is loosely applied. But their fees are lower, have to give them that, as long as you don't do all the extras

No its not. Oakwood, the club, is non profit. Oakwood, the facilities (Glastonbury indoor and Portland outdoor) are not. The not for profit club pays the for profit facilities a ton for usage.

OW U14 and U19 in close 1pt GD games, U17s lost 4-1. Not sure about U15. Buddy at NYCFC said the life has been sucked out of the club, everyone trying to figure out what they'll do next year. Some girls want to stay iin GDA but they don't have any good options nearby. Maybe NYSC can pick up some good additions.

OW parent here. I was at the U17 game. No sign of life being sucked out there. It was very obvious who was the better team and we were lucky to get away with a 4-1 loss. Our goalie should be commended. She saved face yesterday

I saw the u15 game. Just okay. The weird thing is there is suddenly a lot of back peddling and shifting focus. OW is offering a ton more options. Most of it related to trying to make money and keep more kids in the program. They use to try to consolidate their best kids on top teams, now they are doubling each age bracket. Kids showing up all the time and they just aren't that great. More to come I'm sure, but it's watering down the product

The U15 team is average at best; benefits from a super weak conference.

That can be said of all age groups really. Next year will be even better for them with NYCFC gone.

Wasn’t there a player on the 16/17 team that was in the NT pool? We were leaving looking for her yesterday at the NYCFC game. Did she play on age yesterday?

Northeast GDA body bags are ready.

It’s done. Adding age groups will be catastrophic for Oakwood. Will struggle at
                            Every age next season

It’s actually majority below average. EDP and NEP probably stronger or equal. Heck, Northeast NPL too.

                                boys DA failing to qualify

looks like boys are going to fail to make playoffs this year for the first time in what 5 years?
