Those are branch kids from Sound or City and even they are very few and far in between .... no one from the outside ever tries out at Oakwood after U14 (plenty replace OW kids from U11-U14 though).

Nobody takes all that time off. They get together at least once a week. The academy season is billed as a 10 month season. We’re told that upfront. So giving the kids a bit of a break is a good idea. Even if two girls showed up at CFCU, who really cares? Probably just the CFCU parents/players because they’re afraid they’ll lose their spot. Or go with the mindset you dolts usually have and neither kid will make it, which means they stay at Oakwood. Losing two kids isn’t a death spiral, but the OP is such a loser he/she has to make stuff up.

They do and OW isn't alone in that either; not surprisingly it isn't the top clubs taking the time off, mostly the weaker ones. Ten months is kind of a guideline

I would love to see your statistics on that. Where is this information published? Is it reputable? Was it carried out from a 3rd party to exclude bias? Its just fascinating to see people extremely interested in what other people/groups of people are doing that they don't like.

RD could careless about the girls side. his boys teams get all the open field time during the winter and train up to 3 days a week. girls teams get 1 day a week for 75 minutes. GDA teams take december and part of january off and are given a training program to do on their own. boys teams still train 3 days a week!
