Interesting. I mean, Oakwood can, and has, beat NEFC and hasn't been challenged otherwise. SU plays Oakwood to a draw 2x in the last year, beat NEFC once and played Penn Fusion to a virtual draw.

What criteria, other than pride, allows you to make that assessment?

so what. it is better to have one dominant league per region, whichever one it is.

OW parents don't want to admit they're in the wrong league

Oakwood was NEFC’s bitch every year at every age group in the NPL

You are either new or have memory issues. OW never won any of those games.

Let’s stay focused on the present though. This Girls Academy At Oakwood is starting to circle the drain

IMO, put all the GDA teams into the ECNL in the NE. n the NE it become the ECNEL (Elite clubs North East League) and be done with it. Strong regional competition is good for everyone outside of three players. Sorry for them but oh well. national leagues for kids are stupid.

Stars of Mass would be of a force.

NEFC is #1 in two age groups and ahead of OW in those as well. OW U17s is the only team ahead of NEFC. Head to head NEFC vs OW

                      U15 NEFC 4-1
                      U17 NEFC 4-3
                      U19 NEFC 5-2

and yet they left GDA, along with a lot of other top national clubs, replaced by the likes of Seacoast (middle level NPL club) and Ably (horrible ECNL club)

Yes, us parents are the suckers. We travel all over the country spending 10k+ a year buying into some poorly thought out divided national team dream leagues. My kid and I loved the experience and time we spent together, but she is going to school 2 hours away to play soccer in college. Would of loved to played more competitive games in NE instead of flying to Houston, SD, Chicago, Seattle, Florida, etc...

We can fight amongst ourselves which CT team/club is best, but we are all being exploited.

                            ummm....beat them 5-4 this year in U14.

At least make a half-assed effort before you post.

Heck yes. Some evil genius created the current youth sports environment. They monetized it by capitalizing on parental insecurity. Wish I had thought of it!
