Hey at least branch players don't give up high school or pay thousands to travel around the country.

CCSU is (already did?) cutting back on football which may be impacting scholarship dollars. Would you pay more to go to CCSU if you have other academic options?

Well done derella you hoodwinked another 30k of fees from a west conn placement. Yawn. My centerback playing swc soccer with zero fees will be her teammate. Ow parents are empty vessels

Three UCONN, two UNH, one Bryant, one SLU, one WestConn, one UAlbany, and one James Madison. According to their FB page. I'd say that's pretty good

Overlay that with the girl’s comments from CFCU this year and next and you’d probably feel much differently about that statement.

Do you think that three to Uconn makes any sense? Uconn is sucking pond water in everything except women’s hoops. The kids from the same crap club in Hartford isn’t exactly getting it done on the recruiting front. Sorry.

Also, given the lack of funding in Men’s soccer, giving up HS sports for this isn’t a great proposition. Bryant kid= likely academic, West conn= financial aid, Uconn = token 6k athletic scholarships

Let’s see if the UCONN commits even see the field or last two years. Remember AD from Brookfield? Or the two kids from BS who haven’t seen the field

UCONN starters lean heavy international. They do a lot of instate recruiting because it's easy and doesn't cost them much of anything.

Not the point. The OP was stating how bad UCONN was and that harping on the Westconn commits when in fact they have some very good placements. Just be happy for OW and these kids. Clearly you don’t get it. Couldn’t start at MCC could ya?

You responded to a men's post but the focus of the thread is mostly women's. UCONN women's is 4-13. Yeah, that's sucking.

You people realize that some of you are referring to Oakwood boys placements and some of you are referring to girls. In your eagerness to respond, you have forgotten to read about what you’re responding to.

So indicative of today: The faster and more sarcastic the response, despite the fact it has nothing to do with the actual question or topic, the better.

Slow down and read people! The 8 Oakwood commits referenced are boys!!!!!

If possible please list the entire group of boys vs girls commits. It has gotten confusing

I’ll get right on it. Are you serious?

Exactly the point OP originally was crowing about the UCONN commits. As another poster indicated only internationals start on play significant time

I'm sure families are happy their kids are in to UCONN since it's gotten that much harder to get in if you're local. A coach can fill in practice cones will local players that don't cost them much in scholarship $, if they even give them any. Whatever an instate family is left paying is still a good deal. International players are getting the bulk of $ and playing time. If a family is ok with that then it's a win/win for all. But some go in expecting it will be different and then are very disappointed.

OW only has a list of ALL their college commits over the years. It's a joke. Pony up with a recent commit list OW.
