Kids who move to area from elsewhere, kids that do not want to play for a coach after assignments come out (Oakwood), bottom half roster players on one club that are starters in new club, and I am sure tons of other reasons.

Yes sooooo many seniors relocate! So many seniors want to move teams their last year! FSA could have a whole new roster next year! The comment was "there's always room for starters" but you're rambling on about bottom half players that get no PT?

Poster didn't say "never" but it is pretty uncommon. Only a top starter as a senior is going to land a spot on a higher level, even equal level, team. Most players, especially girls, aren't likely to move going into senior year either.

Not sure what moving to FSA from OW buys anyone? ECNL may be a stronger league but the coaching at FSA isn't any better than OW. By then you're theoretically recruited so that's not a reason to move either

Back in the day some coaches would push their recruits to play at higher levels if they weren't already. But they know, now more than ever, youth soccer is a mess and not all players have good club options in their backyard.
