Some people make decisions based on other things than money. Some kids play for the love of the game and the adventure. Is your love based on monetary reward?

Well - some kids may opt to do a year or two just to play while they are young and it all depends on their backgrounds. Rich kids arent worried. Some kid smay say well, a year or two of pro and i can try to get paid in europe or go into the workforce and be able to tell stories about playing pro sports at lunches and dinners. And some say hey many careers can start at 24 rather than 21, so a couple years to enjoy the experience is worth it.
Then you have kids who either want to start their career or do something that requires continued education and thats all fine, too. And finally the ones whose parents demand they go to work or school, regardless of what the recent college grad wants to do. These people love to tell other people what they shoulda done. They're often quite fun at social gatherings.

not knocking it if you can pull it off
for the kids that have the opportunity (only a small % of them will take it)if they still have the itch whats the harm in letting them scratch it? it a life experience like all the others
the next 40 years will still be there, and Companies love accomplished athletes

Not a bad idea, problems living in NE bring, so if you want to compete with warmer climate clubs and team have to clear fields to hope to get out later this month.
