Slow your roll and re-read the comment

If you're interchangeable with most of the roster then no playing up

      2) The club thinks it won't cause a flood of other requests and hurt feelings. This almost never happens.

      3) They don't have enough players to fill rosters
Not true. A club will bring up players to improve the players development. If a player will not benefit by playing their age group the club will bring them up. They also need to see what happens when they bring the player up so typically they will start by mixing it up with both age groups.

Finally some sanity on this topic....it is about player development first.

Know of a few situations at clubs where kids plays up (FSA, Ginga, Sporting, CFC). Doesn’t happen a lot, but it’s usually a kid that someone at some point deemed to be “special”. Oakwood however is in another class of its own. They have a ton of kids playing up across multiple team; to the point where you question if it’s truly necessary. They can’t all be that special.

Because they're not. It's about filling rosters. OW knows paying up is a form of flattery the parents will fall for.

Half the price of FSA for a quarter the training. Notice all the obligations on the player and virtually none on the club.
