Not everyone feels comfortable sending their kids with others, especially younger girls. Even if you can do it 700 is a low estimate, more like 1000 for west coast trips over several days. Anyway those are issues across ecnl and da. The cost differential isn't that large and for most middle to upper income soccer families 1500 won't be the difference maker. flew it all the way to the moon (basically running on an x86 processer, which my smoke detector has more power than, really, you wanna fly to the moon with my smoke detector or lets say my keyless entry system for my car, ok suit yourself.... see, not good, you are sounding crazier by the minute),
was able to brake and adjust it so that it went into a geosynchronous orbit (remember the x86 processor and the really cool to look at reel-to-reel computers....really, going to Fly to the moon with that, people just made a rounding error on a satellite and it was off by 10,000 KM, thats not a few inches... and thats with the equipment we have now),
above a predetermined landing site (riiiigggghhhht, about now you have to start thinking, hmmm sounds like BS to me, but maybe not, because your a believer - you are now fully in the bucket with the flat earthers my friend),
then had crew members climb from one section to another, in "space suits" without dying,
and then launch anther spacecraft off of that (I saw this in James Bond and they did it better),
then "pilot" it down and land it successfully (remember its basically a flying bomb and operating in low gravity...),
then get out and assemble and build a "Space buggy" and cruise it around (really, about now you HAVE to start saying this is BS, you HAVE TO at this point or you are the insane person),
the same buggy that was a solar charged battery powered vehicle (cant even do that now, so imagine doing it in 1969- you ever see a 1969 camaro, chevelle, charger, camera, reel to reel tape deck, solar panel, F4 Phantom)? you going to use that tech to go to the moon? reeaaallllyyyyy, if you think so, youre the moron,
then have the balls to get off and play golf with clubs "smuggled" (its a bag of fn golf clubs, just stop and think about that for a minute.... its basically a military mission, and theyre "sneaking" golf clubs?) onto the craft for a wonderful photo op (The whole exercise at this point is really to scare the soviet union into going wt* just happened and spend all their cash trying to "carch up" to an event that didnt happen - mind boggling),
climb back in,
fly it back up with out it exploding (remember its just a flying bomb considering the tech from the 60s), and reconnect to the orbiting "spaceship" (come on, how ridiculous is this at this point)
adjust the attitude and aim for earth,
get to earth and go into an orbit with stability,
plunge through the atmosphere (we can BARELY get that done now as well, see how many space shuttles have "issues", a 4 inch piece falls off and it gets splashed (I love the shuttle, just the simple facts...not trying to offend any of the brave souls on those trips)),
to land within eyesight of a floating aircraft carrier in the ocean,
and finally get retrieved.
