News reports say fight happened on sideline in front of Ludlowe bench. Coach didn't have to enter field to break up fight.

Players were both playing the ball, " in front of " the bench area. I doubt they were still trying to play the ball while off the field. They could have tumbled off the field. But unless there is video it is up to the witnesses to describe where they were.
Regardless, the coach shouldn't have physically intervened , especially with girls. Let the Officials do what they need to do.

Why should the daughter be kicked off of the team exactly? Her jackhole of a father choked someone in the parking lot, took off, refused to go to the police station for questioning and therefore was subsequently escorted to the clink in cuffs. He's paying the price. She's paying the price also via red card and suspension for the next game as per the rules. Why are you trying to create new rules of your own? Ban the father from future games, that's acceptable too and up to the Wilton AD to enforce. You can't ban the kid because of her wannabe MMA old man.

The Coach is a " team official " not a " game official'. The Coach is responsible for the conduct of the players. It is not his or her duty to physically intervene in any incidents, especially on the field. If a coach intervenes, he or she does so at their own risk. " Game Officials " or " Referees " are discouraged from physically intervening.

If something serious happened to one of the girls, the consequences would be no different than any other similar event involving legal ramifications , civil and or criminal.

if we're betting:

Player 1 gets BC offer yanked (I'm 100% sure this will happen, keep an eye on the BC roster next year, she won't be there)

Player 2 BC offer is in jeopardy, but not as sure it'll get yanked.

Why would a kid get an offer yanked for something a father or other parent did? Many kids getting offers to college have parents who committed crimes.

The two kids got red cards. It doesn't happen often....but it does happen. You don't lose a college offer from getting a red card.

If this happened before they were offered a roster spot at BC, perhaps the daughter of the psycho dad might not have received an offer if the coach decided he/she doesn't want to deal with such trashy parent behavior.

But since the offer is already made and so close to getting the official ED decision with admissions....I doubt BC takes action.

I don't know the kid....nor the parent. But normal circumstances usually say if a parent actually does this.....they were likely a problem (at least verbal abuse) at other games.

its not just some radom fight in Granby where 2 kids get reds and its done
criminal and civil actions will take place- somebody is going to lose their job etc
