They would be foolish to use the same coaching staff that has assembled the dismal record across all age groups.

…and with future homegrown player development dollars on the line that can recoup their investment in this club faster. Taking a long view on the talent you attract/retain could really payoff. Today I see the same type of players fill these rosters. You cannot build a competitive team based on a bunch of center midfielders.

what would they be exchanging for? Salty parents from SSC and Massachusetts? Maybe Mogie? They do need a janitor in Bethany.

They are there, it’s just that today’s club system coaching forgot what they look like in real life and put them into other positions on the team during the uLittle years. You can get a peek of it during intra squad scrimmages at practice where players can pick their position. Suddenly the team’s CB or CDM is scoring as many goals or more as the team’s starting striker with less chances to play the position and become proficient at it. Reads like a true crime story to waste a chance to develop the striker you need in two-three years time. But I’ve seen it consistently from the top 3 clubs and it doesn’t matter the age or coach. Maybe the NJ folks have a different view.
