If it were in central CT, then I’d agree. That club will affect BS more so. The route 9 and I-91 corridor is not well connected to Rt-8 other than by I-84, so any trip to practice would be over an hour and hard to justify even if free. Two hours a day in a car is two hours less that a kid could be with the ball on their feet. FSA would be more affected, but again same issue.

Free is a pipe dream. It’s relying on nonexistent sponsors of a nonexistent team. When sponsors realize it’s MLSII, they’re going to laugh and run.

I don’t know. I watched that NBC 30 interview with the owner who as a twenty something worked at JP Morgan and simultaneously opened/ran 3 restaurant/bars and then decided to build/sell a streaming tech company all while having a family and still working in as a private banker. As great as that sounds, it sounds fantastically suspect. It’s so easy to get fleeced in both industries if you aren’t there 100% of the time - absentee managers get raked easily so there’s only one thing that would prevent those pesky, creative employees from pillaging the place. It all sounds very “Osark” like in how things just mysteriously come together successfully when there are still 24 hours in a day - I am familiar with how much investment banking expects you to work and there’s no extra time. If this academy is free, you should question where the money is coming from.
