Oakwood 2008 boys are definitely on the rise. They added new players and beat some good teams. They would destroy fsa or cfc

Oakwood is a bottom feeder. They crashed and burned a few years ago. Once the MLS only cared about their own academies it crushed the entire Boys DA!!

Ha, sure, sure. OW is the literally the worst mlsn in the league. Bar none. Would lose to both fsa and cfc by 3+ goals.

Yeah blame it on the league not your son who lives in CT where there’s very little soccer culture.

Neither FSA or CFC are in MLSN which is a much better league than ECNL

I’m sure the league is the reason players are
flocking to play for Oakwood and lose 14-0

All the players who would normally be playing there if DA was still a thing are playing at FSA and CFC because OW is so bad.

As a league, sure. But as local clubs where local players have to play? Not so much. Many of those that can manage the drive out of state do so. OW and BS used to be the top destination clubs. Now those who are there do it because there's no other choice. See the difference?

Why should U12,13, 14 years old have to drive out of state, what about school, how many will become pro's or get D1 scholarships, insanity to do that, buy a Powerball ticket. lol

Some do it either because 1)they understandably think the local options are poor 2)they over estimate the kids skills, or 3) 1+2.

#2 kids usually come back to local teams.

Word is OW is trying to set up an elaborate loan deal with FSA for access to better players to improve their market value. Will a deal get done?

I’m not sure what standings you look at. They beat the Revs last season and went 6-6 this fall before adding 3 of the better players in the state

STA just bought Oakwood. Why in the world would either club try to work together ? FSA and Oakwood/STA are not a good match. STA has their hands full. Trying to pay a mortgage for the indoor facility in Glastonbury and outdoor fields in Portland will not be easy. 10 million is a big mortgage to pay off. I doubt they got a 30 year mortgage so monthly payment will be a big number. Good luck filling the places without a good product to sell. Sporting, Vale, CFC North and FSA are all very good options and Oakwood/STA has a lot to prove in the next year or so. If not crush boom bang.

I’m not sure what you’re looking at u13 is 4-9-3 u14 is 0-15-1 with massive blowouts, u15 is 1-15, u16 is 4-7-2 with massive blowout losses to nefc and sea coast, u17 1-13-1 and u19 is 0-13. Bottom of the barrel. They need to change owners, coaches and players fast before they lose their badge.
