I am no business genius but I would guess if they were to buy oakwood they may run the idea past the GAL/MLS Next people first. Or like someone said just play mls next games in southern CT.
That assumes that FC Westchester and other MLSN teams in the area would be okay with that plan, and they won’t.

Clubs will operate separately im sure but with some fluidity between them for operations costs and staffing opportunities. Probably will never be noticeable to the customers.

MLSN has added IFA and FA Euro in the Northeast Div and Ironbound and Sporting Delaware in the Mid Atlantic over the past few seasons. No reason STA couldn't get in on its own.

crazy idea: MLSN and ECNL merge and make logistically sensible regions. Imagine such a simple thing... and since MLS keeps swallowing up ECNL clubs (Sporting DE above, NEFC, Bolts, Bayside, etc.) ECNL should really look into that. We'd have 4 clubs in CT, plus a ton more in MA, RI, and Westchester counter.

          DO IT.

Where are these magical lower FC fields? You seem to forget also that's Beachside territory. Even moving to FC that's still a haul from NJ even when traffic cooperates. Not practical for families or staff

NJ board reported it first. No official proof.

And yes you're an idiot because you didn't read back. Make an effort next time.

I saw the OW U-14 Boys lost 15-0 to another non-mls academy team. How is that even possible?

There's a reason BS never built down there and CFC had to go up to Bethany. FC land prices are unaffordable

The parents who think Oakwood will develop players are the same ones at ODP tryouts thinking that will be strong. Keep living in the past

Plenty of private schools that rent their fields bro. This isn’t hard. Lower clubs like Chelsea Piers, AC and Inter figure it out every year.

MLS clubs are supposed to have e their own facilities. Private schools that rent (rare) really only do it on weekends because their fields are used during the week. It's not reliable. Other clubs "figure ot out" piecemeal and they aren't in MLS.
