This is true and yet no one wants to go to Oakwood. MLSN clubs should be the A teams and ECNL the B teams, like everywhere except CT

Not worth it. Giving up HS and all the travel would be worth it if the coaching was better and they were winning more than 2 games. Its really hard to keep kids engaged and learning if they're miserable.

People look to the table and say "we arent going to play THERE", missing the fact that your son could probably walk into a starting spot. Enough people with that mentality and the standings start to change and you have the kids that are supposed to be in MLSN actually playing there.

The issue is the coaching and environment. Starting or nor starting. Kids won't get better in the environment ow currently fosters.

I wonder if the environment would get better if the club had kids that actually wanted to play at a high level. I’m assuming you are referring to the MLSN coaches. Aren’t they CT hall of fame or something?

Yes. Kids that can't execute under pressure make coaching look pretty bad. Bring in kids that know what they are doing (ie the kids the should be playing MLSN) and you get coaches faces on the hallowed halls of Farmington Sports Arena Football Club

you'd need to pool the best players from FSA CFC and OW merely to be competitive in mlsn. will never happen

That’s not necessarily true. I have seen stand out players on Sporting, Ginga, Vale, etc. not just the suburban standouts from FSA and CFC. CT soccer is too watered down for the population

Not weird when the coaching and performance blows. OW used to be a force in CT soccer but no longer

specifically what about the cosching is so bad compared to any other place? Like someone said above. Get a team of players that can actually play at that level and cosches will look great.
