For boys, kids with pro prospects are playing for professional team academies at no cost. For the rest, they are being catered to by a plethora of leagues hoping to grab your dollars and make claims of getting your kid a college scholarship (which actually has a low probability). Many parents have plenty of disposable money and are willing to pay the price....and many clubs are feeding off of this willingness.

For boys, kids with pro prospects are playing for professional team academies at no cost... this represents .001% of those playing soccer, as there really arent' 'too many real academies (yet anyway).

If you can’t beat premier team & ecnl teams then your not the highest of the food chain in CT & unfortunately on the boys side since Kevin left they are nothing but a high level premier team , there is no academy there anymore

They're not - all mid level - but all showcases try to group similar teams together. Makes little sense to match up top vs bottom teams.

I will never understand why a parent comes on here to start hate about a club or a team their kid is not playing for. Your kids, I'm sure, are just like you. Mean, petty bullies. Get a life. Worry about your own kid and stop being a bully. And stop producing children that will turn out just like you.

The faded black build out line claims another victim. Quick OW Dad take a picture of the team lined up on the penalty area pressing the opposition on their goal kick. As long as your kid sneaks in a Maradona in between her tackle and the shot she’s got to be good, right?

Im fine with that. I tried to volunteer to be the missing corner flag one game. But over arching message here, I’d get your sheet together. This is a fairly inexpensive game to set up for. Why do you make it look hard?

Oakwood is awful and people that stay there are only
using it because one time long ago Oakwood was decent. Now their programs are as good as their indoor space

It's tough for the older kids who don't have a lot of options to leave and may not want to leave teammates they have been with awhile. Younger players should stay away

Never saw a bigger group of koolaide drinkers. They swallow everything Rick says, hook, line, and sinker. They all swear its the best club in CT (boys and girls) and always has been ... never was on girls side and far worse now (on both sides).

OW plays much tougher competition than the other clubs. OW boys is still strong. they trounced FSA boys top younger teams in friendlies this year.

this is it in a nutshell. If you're a ulittle parent, especially girls, it's criminal to bring your kid to this dinosaur club.
