Were they solid? Tied one of the worst ECNL teams in the entire country. For the guy that said best in NE or Country?!?! .... you really need to get out and watch some games. Tied one of the absolute worst teams in the Northeast conference ... that means almost all of the other teams in the conference (entire league) would beat the OW 2005s and the top 1/4 would beat they pretty badly.

Good lord, it was a training session.

You're the type of guy who gets hyped when someone goes 4-0 in preseason, right?

My kid has played them both multiple times over the years, and FSA can't hold a candle to Oakwood. If the game meant anything they'd be played off the pitch

I bet you get worked up over showcase scores too. Hint: no one cares about it nor friendlies

I'm trying to remember the last time I kept score during a friendly, and can't come up with one. Really wracking my brain here, but over the past 40 years there's been a lot and so it takes a while...but still can't come up with one. If everyone got their work in, had a chance to work on a few tactical things, and no injuries, I always considered it a success.

Maybe you can post the referee report so we can get their take?

That's the funny thing about youth soccer in america. When a game is a 1-0 win, we dominated the opposition. When the game is unfavorable, the excuses fall like rain. It was a showcase, it was a friendly ... no a training session .... two of our top players left, but we dominated possession, we had subs coming in off of ACL injuries .... but we are the top team in the nation and couldnt beat a doormat! hahaha .... you idiots are killing me ... go back and play in your teeny little sandbox full of cat poop and exercise your dominion over that teeny little pond. Dont ever come back here and claim OW is anything but trash ... and that was their best team (by far!). Good lord, can you image just how bad all of the rest of their teams are??

So, using your litmus test, here's an example of why it means nothing.

Seacoast United, whom nobody considers a threat, beat Scorpions. Who beat FSA. Who tied Oakwood. Who beat Seacoast United.

And, round and round it goes.

Really, obsessing over a teenage girls training session is weird, and for this site.

As mentioned, I've seen them both play many times and, really, you can take it from an impartial observer or not...but the gap between the two is real.

one time, many years ago, when my kid was 9, his town team tied FSA Elite 2-2 during Christmas week at indoor at 8 in the morning and I'd just like you all to know that. It made all the newspapers and even SportsCenter Top 10. It was just an incredible moment in all of our lives.

You know damn well she was fouled and that should've been a PK. Ridiculous.

Wrecked my entire drafted Facebook post after that non-call.

Ah, deflection via the chain theory ... classic! No pride for GAL vs ECNL or OW vs FSA? Got it. Another excuse ... exceptionally rare local game means nothing so the kids and coaches didnt do their best. hahaha .... good call!

Nope, no pride for either. Been in both leagues, and there is good and bad in each. Not understanding why I would be prideful in either circumstance, to be honest. It's a teenage girls friendly, and should be approached as such

Wow, that's sad. My kids play every game as if it is important and when they are playing a local team with a reputation of being good, they play even harder, in league or not. They have pride and want to represent themselves and their team well. I guess my kids have heart and cant stand losing any types of competitions. Sorry pal.
