S+ had no facilities to speak of, FSA got rid of most of the coaches and lots of players left too. They essentially bought the badge...and did nothing with it . In fact it's in many ways worse than S+ was.

Wow, sounds like you are in the know!!! You obviously aren't and know zero!!! FSA kept every single S+ coach and made Mick the doc of the girls side. They foolishly also merged the teams that first year and each ECNL team was comprised of half kids from FSA and half kids from S+ teams. Every single ECNL team had a coach that was from S+ as well. S+ was awful prior to merge because of their players and coaches .... To merge in the manner they did was foolish. Why would anyone have expected them to do better when little had changed. Anyways stop pretending that you know anything and passing yourself off as knowledgeable you arrogant, pr|ck.

At this point those players are all gone and once merged/bought, coaches are all FSA staff. Owners are still the dame owners. Poster is 100% correct that FSA is terrible, literally a basement dweller. That's 100% on them.

MLSn is a feeder system for Academy teams. They now have far less play against MLS Academies and far less exposure to college coaches. Nationally, many players are no longer willing to spend that kind of money for those subbing rules, limited exposure, much lesser competition, and skipping HS. Not sure MLSn is worth the cost of MLS academy teams whose players play for free. The old system is dead and while former DA clubs cling to it and long for past, the players do not need to.
