How many of these parents/players knew anything about what that private school have had to offer? Not many until soccer Bob told them what they can do for them. Say what you want but many were recruited because of their athletic skill not academic.

I think he was being sarcastic. They can't officially call them athletic scholarships but the girls get free rides to these schools - isn't for their academics or artistic ability or financial need. Know many do

If more schools would follow, the soccer level in high school would be much better not depending of soccer academies to keep a high level competition.

Nothing wrong with kids going to great school because of soccer but they should be playing those same type of schools. Atleadt the level pf play would be at the same level.

Absolutely nothing. Actually good for them. However, shouldn't they compete against the schools that are just like them? You know schools that are able to recruit for their "academic" abilities!

Why is American Heritage, a private school costing $35k a year allowed in FL HS state? Imho, all tuition based, scholarship providing schools should have their own sports league/system.

Sure as if StA does not do it. I am sure that those basketball players and football players who live with a host family because they actually live in TEXAS are at StA just because they are academically gifted..

Not sure about Bolles but STA is the 3rd best team in the state for Class 4A. That's something to be proud of.

Actually the question was pretty straight forward. "What happened to STA?" Did Viera play a defensive match? Was STA missing players? I did not watch game, so the question was asked. By the way, just as many Sunrise players play on STA.
