Originally posted by Unregistered View PostIt is simple. Most HS players grew up together in the same neighborhood or came up through the same private schools. These kids have history and put that ahead of the game. Club is so driven by ego and the movement to be on the best team playing for the best coach means that many of the worst of the worst parents end up on the same sideline. One blowhard going on and on about scores, rankings, ODP, ID2 and Showcases is one thing. 3 or more dads doing that is like nails on a chalkboard. You are literally the only ones on the sideline and you can't escape them. At least in HS you have a stadium where you can get as far away from those jackwagons as possible...even if it means sitting with the opposing team.

The thing that surprised me the most about High School soccer is how elite players and players already committed to college look like incompetent players. Is it because they are not in a top system? They can't make an accurate pass or score a goal in High School and how are they going to play in college.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostYou can't be serious. Are you saying that one or two ECNL/elite kids can win a game? It's hard to get anything done when you don't have anyone to work with on the field. The other obstacle is field placement. Putting kids where they want to play vs. where they should play.

HS Soccer you need 4 players a good goalie,CD,Mid,forward. You have those the others can be fill players and you should win most of your games. Until regionals and states
