As the high school season approaches, what happens when both teams have games on the same day?

that would be rare. Most senior team leagues do not have games scheduled during high school season.

Obviously club. HS teams never get a shot to play in a Gerbil Showcase, so make sure your club gets those GotProfits points.

Depends on your position on the club team. Starter? Then club. Benchwarmer? Hs

In the parents mind: you play the one that gives him the best chance to develop.

In the kids mind: you play the one that gives him the best chance to get the ladies.....

Therefore: he plays the HS game.

Isn't the only reason guys play sports anyway is to get the ladies????

Hs soccer doesnt mean anything, unless your kid is there by "scholarship".

Im sure that the player would chose hs, but could lose position on club. Loyalty.

There's the problem...choose HS, and maybe lose club playing time...choose club, and maybe lose HS playing time

Depends on the club team and at what level of play. If a high level club team --> club.

IMO, it's less about loyalty and more about commitment. The commitment was made to the Club team first so anything else should come second to that commitment. As long as they live under our roofs we should remain parents and enforce to our kids the importance of commitment and honoring those commitments.

You mean like parents honor this commitment?

I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, game officials, and administrators at all times.
 I will place the emotional and physical well being of all players ahead of any personal desire to win.
 I will support the coaches, officials, and administrators working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
 I will remember that the game is for the players, not for the adults.
 I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, game officials, administrators, and fans
                              with respect.
 I will always be positive.
 I will always allow the coach to be the only coach.
 I will not get into arguments with the opposing team’s parents, players, or coaches.
 I will not come onto the field for any reason during the game.
 I will not criticize game officials.
 I shall not possess, consume or distribute before, during or after any game or at any other
time at the field and/or game complex alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs or unauthorized
                              prescription drugs.
 I will refrain from any activity or conduct that may be detrimental or reflect adversely
upon FYSA, its members or its programs.
