    double yellow in highschool soccer

A player receiving two yellow cards in a game can not re-enter but you are allowed to play with 11 players and a "red card" report is not sent to FHSAA.
So how many games does the player have to sit out? I was told that the player only has to miss the remainder of the game in which they got the 2 yellows.
Anyone know if this is accurate

According to Rule 106.03-3 on the FHSAA website, that information is accurate.

If you are just guessing don't put the information on here. If you know for a fact please state where you got the information.

two yellows is considered unsporting conduct. according fhssa.org that is the minimum. no guessing.

a direct red can be considered GROSS unsporting conduct and the player can miss 6 weeks

Just happened is a game my team had last night. The ref told the coaches the player was could not reenter the game, the team did not have to play down, and there would not be a report sent to FHSAA. I would assume that means nothing happens other than sitting the remainder of that game.

A double yellow and the player is prohibbited from playing the rest of that game and the team plays at full strength . A yellow and a red the player sits at least ten days or two games whatever is longest (actual number of games is dictated by FHSAA).

Better make sure. Play him and you're wrong . . . you forfeit all games.

Re: double yellow in highschool soccer

A double yellow card issuance in high school is not considered a red card. There is no game suspensions for this--other than not being able to play in the remainder of the game the double yellow was issued. That is why no report to FHSAA is sent. Only FHSAA can issue the suspension, and FHSAA acts on a red card offense/report which could be either:

                      (1) one week-2 game suspension

                      (2) considered gross misconduct and 6 weeks.

If you want the answer directly from FHSAA contact them ......

While I'm sure the player is not required to miss any games or double yellow; to protect your team, I'd contact:

                          Justin Harrison @ FHSAA,
                          Ph: (352) 372-9551 ext. 390

I was 100% sure the player can play the next game but I emailed Justin @ FHSAA to confirm it. His reply is below:

"You are correct in your interpretation. A double yellow is disqualified for that game and does not miss any more games (no report). A blue card is the same except, no substitution."

                              Sincerely,

                              Justin Harrison
