We all know his impact on the game, but just how great is he? Personally, I think he could use some work on his 1st touch in order for him to make it BIG. Just wanted to see the honest opinions of my fellow posters.

His touch is beyond deadly. He can turn even the best of defenders in circles. Not to mention is shear physical strength, that is often used to muscle less capable players off the ball. The pinpoint accuracy of his shots makes Tony Taylor look like an under-10 rec player. Though these seem like strong claims towards this player, they can only begin to describe Palmer Davis in whole. In order to get the full spectrum of his ability you must see him play first hand. Be sure to watch his off the ball runs that leave defenders staring dumbly at each other as if to say, "I thought you had him." In my opinion (after playing and watching soccer for many years) Palmer Davis is the best player that I have ever seen step onto a field.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear Palmer's name is Roberto Carlos. Palmer has the ability to win possession in the defensive third, and the presence of mind to bring the ball up by himself, slicing through the opponent's defenders, making them look silly...or he can bring it out wide for the swinging, back post cross. Did you see him weaving through St. Augustine's midfield? He is lethal after winning possession. I can't wait to see this kid play in college.

Not so fast on the college thing. I heard Man U wanted to give him a trial. Turns out Freddy wasn't that impressive. And so if you have a choice between Palmer and Freddy, well, it's a no brainer.

I heard Menedez is so concerned that they will be using a "ghost" marking tonight.....will Palmer be able to overcome?

P. Davis leads Nease to a 1-0 victory over rival Menendez. Most lopsided 1-0 game I've seen recently, partly due to the presence of Davis in the middle of the field. The balls he was playing and the way he could distribute really was impressive. His assist was just icing on the cake. It seems like this kid plays everywhere! Wasn't he scoring goals from forward against St. Aug? Tonight he was the commander of the midfield, and I'm pretty sure he was winning balls from the back vs. Bartram. Another impressive showing for Palmer, best of luck in the rest of the season.

Once I saw Palmer meg an ant with a mango, yes, an ant with a mango. Palmer then said to me, that I could say I was as great a player as he is, if I could do that dirty move that makes mere humans want to cry. I've killed at least 1,000,000 ants to this day... But I've never witnessed another ant megging.

I heard he did it without knicking the ant's privates or bruising the mango. FIFA World Player of Year without a doubt.
