A. Do you really want your kid to play for a coach like that anyway?
B. If they were not one of the top chosen, they are just being used for extra girls at practice and they will sit the bench the entire year anyway, as I think he picked something like 26 girls. Only 11 play.
C. Use the free time away from club to do some training, resting and studying. Then when everyone else comes back beat up, exhausted, and struggling gradewise she will be fresh and end the year on a high note.
Or...
Let her hear you complain for the next four months about how unfair it was.

PH will have one senior (CS18), two juniors(CS17) and one freshman (CS15), who will try to carry that team. They graduated all the rest of their players. There are a few other freshman that have some ability, but they cry too much to play HS very much.

Strong schools in other areas have 40+ or more girls that all play travel. And Sorry Freshmen if they can score will have a huge impact on a high school team. It depends on durability also. If they can take a shove from best U15 teams they can create major problem for any HS player.

I am hoping that DHS girls will be strong this season, and appreciate the vote of confidence posted above. However, I know that the team has a BIG challenge ahead in East Lake and Palm Harbor, not to mention others. Any win over either of these teams will be considered an upset by ANYONE. We are lucky to have a very competitive group in the north Pinellas girls soccer.
My prediction for the top three teams in the District will be PHUHS, East Lake and Dunedin. Dunedin has hopes to finish in the top two, but we will have to play the games and see. I'll never count any of these teams out, or have expectations to beat them just because someone here says so.
