Land O' Lakes HS Soccer Field Champions

LOL won tonight against a quality Nease team. It was a good game. Both teams were very skilled and the game was clean. Congrats to both teams, the tournament was a marathon; 5 games in four days.
    Land O' Lakes 2 Nease 0
    Dom Cutrofello Tournament Offense MVP
    Alex Spock Tournament Defense MVP

DC is a beast...no wonder the papers say he is carrying that team. Big time player! Can't wait to see where he goes to college.

Actually EL was the leading goalscorer for LOL over the tournament. He didn't win this one on his own.

EL is an excellent player, even without the coaches hype..reserved for DC...I'm glad to hear he had a good tournament.

EL is the best target forward around. He plays with both feet and can hit with both too.

            Congrats to Land O' Lakes!

Just be happy you weren't in Jesuits bracket. At least there is one real champion from the admiral/ soccer field, whatever its called.

I'm not so sure of that. LOL couldn't even beat Gaither with 10 men for the entire 2nd half. They were lucky to win on PKs. How on earth are you going to beat Jesuit?

No smack between these teams. Too many mutual friends and players from the club. Jesuit respects LOLs game, and vice versa. Ask the captains. It would be an interesting match. Maybe a regional or final four matchup? Now if we could find some competent refs..................... Congrats to DC for his MVP.

I think they were getting at you'd probably have 3 players in the hospital after playing jesuit from what I've read. Unless it was a Jesuit player, then they might be saying that. I've never seen LOL play but they were clearly a strong side to get through their bracket. Congrats to them.

Jesuit coach would never schedule a game with Land O'Lakes as he might lose, same with Gaither and Tampa Prep. Love to see Land O'Lakes and Jesuit play would be a great game.

The only way for these to teams to play is if they both win out in the playoffs. They would meet in the Final Four. Both teams are good friends with each other and the LOL Coach used to be the club coach for a number of the Jesuit players. There is respect for each team between the programs. It would be a great game.

There is no animosity between the two teams. 6 players play for the RSL U-17 team in the CDL League. (4 Jesuit and 2 LOL) I think Jesuit has a better overall depth of talent than LOL, but LOL has some exceptional playmakers that you cannot overlook. Both goalies are top notch. The teams know each other's strengths. It would be a great game to watch.
